About: et ready kiddies, there’s a new band in town! The Time Outs brand of rockin’ kid music offers a groovy new twist on the usual fare. A lively mix of indie pop, 60’s garage and good old-fashioned rock-n-roll, The Time Outs catchy tunes will have the pip squeaks hoppin’ and the parents sneakin’ a listen even when their kids aren’t in the car.

Built on the philosophy that awesome rock doesn’t have to be pretentious—and that kid’s music doesn’t have to be insanely sweet—The Time Outs have created a raucous, fun dance party that will have the most jaded parents clapping and singing along.

With the release of their eponymous new CD of original songs, The Time Outs add a cool retro vibe to the “kindie rock” community. From the doo-wop pop of songs like “Monster Stomp” and the psychedelic toe-tapper “Pip Squeak a Go-Go” to the grownup groove of “Rain” and “The Choo Choo Song,” this is one Time Out the whole family will enjoy!

The Time Outs include Jim Galbraith (guitar and vocals), Greg Kim (bass), Lev Delany (keyboards) and Tom Galbraith (drums). Long-time Bay Area rockers, the members of The Time Outs have all played in numerous successful local bands including Field Trip, Short Dogs Grow, The Black Outs, The Blank Stares and San Francisco’s beloved (and only!) live karaoke band, The Amazing Embarrassonic.
While the band cites influences as diverse as The Monkees, The Kinks, The Ramones and Jonathan Richman, the fellas don’t have to look far for musical inspiration. Each band member is a proud parent and all the songs get test driven by their discerning 2-6 year olds. It should come as no surprise that the bubble anthem “Bathtime is Party Time” is a household fave.
